Fine Art Education Programs

Driftless Art Academy offers programs of art education for adults, teenagers, and children as young as eight years (third grade). To explore our programs, click the photos below.

Oil Painting Studio Program

Our flagship program brings an incredible level of artistic ability to students who are diligent about gaining skills and improving their art. Moving from the most fundamental parts of two-dimensional art through mastery of advanced painting techniques equip students with confidence in their abilities and allow them to take any direction they choose in their art.

Workshops and Special Events

Through the year we occasionally have brief workshops, presentations, and other events.

Driftless Art Kids

A curriculum designed to support development, this program prepares students to move into the Oil Painting Studio Program. Students work on basic drawing techniques, build a foundation of knowledge of the components of art, and learn to focus with an intention to improve. Driftless Art Kids is not art-play time, but a serious program for gaining artistic skills.

Intensive Programs

Intensive programs are exactly what they sound like: intense! Students are immersed in advancing their creative abilities for several hours each day, accomplishing more than they could in an equal number of hours spread out in weekly classes. In fact, participants in the Intensives during the summer are able to move through as much as a year of the regular Studio Program.
